CEO and Co-Founder
Jack Garzella is the CEO of Flying Software Labs, Inc. Garzella formed the company in 2011 as an initial investor and co-founder. Previously, he held senior positions with Teradata, Inc., Overstock.com, and Oracle. He has formed or participated in several successful start-up companies including MyTimeCove, Inc., Excite@Home.com, MatchLogic, MarketVison and DSI.He holds a B.S. in computer science from Purdue University and is a current commercial, multi-engine and instrument-rated pilot.
Gary is an experienced executive with 25 years of both corporate and small business management; focused on P&L, sales, marketing, and operations. He helped pioneer a 100 million-dollar division of a Fortune 10 company and has multiple start-up experience in the software industry.
President of Sales
Tom has 40 years of aviation industry experience and heads all sales for MyFlightSolutions. Tom was a co-founder of Vessix, Inc., a payment processing and fuel management solution for the aviation and founder of Phoenix Fuel Company, a global jet fuel supply company. Tom has extensive background in supply chain management and jet fuel marketing. Additionally he has held management positions at Combs-Gates/DEN, Sun Valley Aviation, AeroServices/OAK, XJet/APA. At XJet, Tom was part of the dynamic management team that brought XJet from start up to Number 1 FBO in 5 years. His expertise in the aviation industry includes strategic growth strategies, sales, marketing, and global operations. Tom holds a Bachelor degree in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a Multi/Instrument pilot.
CTO, Board Member & Investor
Jeff is responsible for FSL software product development and manage the MyFlightSolutions product strategies Jeff has strong executive and IT management experience through his roles with Devyze (CEO), SunGard Software Inc. (CTO, VP Technology, Technical Program Manager), and Protegent (CTO). Jeff’s IT skill set includes “big data management,” product management, product architect, client implementation, infrastructure, and security.
SVP, Product Development
Tyler is an experienced and respected software product manager. He is responsible for defining and executing product strategy, roadmap, technical requirements and design for the Vessix payment platform. He has managed large development teams and system administrators, local and offshore for Vessix (Los Angeles, CA), Computershare (Sydney, AU), and Zumbox Inc. (Los Angeles, CA). He also helped manage successful joint ventures between Computershare, Fuji, Xerox and Zumbox. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University.
CIO, VP Customer Support
Kim is responsible for customer service and support. Kim has extensive IT industry experience through his role with Sony, MGM Studies (EVP / CIO), KRS Consulting Group (President), Experience Interactive Media (VP Business Intelligence, PMO and Operations), lowermybills.com (Interim VP Operations and Business Intelligence), and Weider Health and Fitness (Director, Information Services). Kim has extensive IT experience in global SAP implementation programs, internet marketing business intelligence systems, IP rights management systems, and global digital asset management system.
Vice President Business Development & Partnership Relationships
Tom Nied is a career aerospace executive with experience with strategic planning, business development, project management, logistics processes, international partnerships, and financial management. Tom has held senior management positions with The Boeing Company, McDonnell Douglas, Kitco Defense, and Textron AAI Services. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Louis University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics from Parks College of St. Louis University.
Vice President Product Development
Marshall was formerly a first officer for SkyWest Airlines and a chief flight instructor for Cornerstone Aviation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Ft. Lewis College. Trip has an extensive experience in general aviation learning to fly at a young age from his father. He has guided the products from the perspective of a user vs a programmer. Trip’s guidance on the workflow and design of the system, as well as his attention to detail, has helped create a very effective and efficient product.
